Comment on Proposed New Rule on Referrals

The State Medical Board of Ohio (SMBO) has filed proposed rules with the Common Sense Initiative Office (CSI) and is seeking public comment. This is the second step in the rule review process. CSI has generated a Business Impact Analysis for the proposed rules outlining any adverse impact to businesses. 

Public comment is sought on rules pertaining to referrals and cross-referrals for designated health service.

Comments are due by Oct. 9, 2026.
