2025 Ohio Osteopathic Symposium Program
The Ohio Osteopathic Symposium is the premier event in the Buckeye State for osteopathic physicians, residents, and medical students seeking to expand their knowledge and stay at the forefront of the field. Designed to provide engaging and clinically relevant content, this year’s program will include sessions in three specialized tracks tailored to students, residents, and practicing physicians.

Advancing Clinical Knowledge
- Updates on asthma management and evolving best practices.
- A primer on PAD vs. venous disease for trainees and early-career physicians.
- Insights into vitamin D metabolism and the AACCE guidelines.
- Developing effective strategies for addressing social determinants of health in clinical practice.
- Hands-on sessions in osteopathic manipulation treatment (OMT).
Dynamic Panel Discussions
- Expert panels on dermatology, sports medicine, and women’s health, including perimenopause and menopause.
Featured J.O. Watson Memorial Lecturer
- Brian Balin, PhD, from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Graciela Muniz-Terrera, PhD, from OU-HCOM, will present cutting-edge research in their session, Perspectives on Infections as Risk Factors for Alzheimer's Disease. The J.O. Watson Memorial Lecture is part of the Convening Scientists program, supported by the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation.
